GESS
Gene Expression Statistical System for Microarrays
Comprehensive and Easy to Use

GESS makes statistical analysis of microarray gene expression data fast and easy. With this well-documented package, you will not have to worry about complex programming or confusing statistical output. Because this software was developed by a company with over 20 years of experience creating commercial statistical software, you will be confident with your results.

GESS comes with electronic (pdf) manuals that contain tutorials, examples, annotated output, references, formulas, and complete instructions on each procedure. And, if you cannot find an answer in the manual, our free technical support staff (which includes three Ph.D. statisticians) is available.

Array Quality and Filtering
Graphical and numeric summaries, designed to quickly alert the user to artifacts, bad spots, spatial anomalies, or poor arrays, are easily obtained for each array. Expression values may be filtered according to well-described criteria. Several normalization procedures are also on hand.

Statistical Analysis
A wide variety of statistical analyses is available. Each technique is well-documented and described in easy-to-understand terms. Graphical summaries of statistical output help interpret the results. Follow-up statistical analyses are obtained with over 150 statistical procedures in NCSS.

Choose GESS. It's more comprehensive, easier-to-use, accurate, and less expensive than any other microarray statistical analysis program on the market. GESS 2006 runs under Windows Vista, XP, 2000, NT, ME, 98, and 95.

Features. GESS lets you perform both basic and advanced statistical procedures such as Repeated Measures and GLM ANOVA with an easy-to-use graphical interface. No programming is required. GESS (with NCSS) is a standalone software package. GESS easily produces sharp, flexible graphics. GESS output is easily transferred to popular word processors and presentation software such as PowerPoint.

Pricing. With electronic documentation, GESS 2006 sells for $749.95 (includes a license to NCSS), a price much lower than the competition's. With printed manuals, GESS 2006 sells for $949.95 (includes a license to NCSS). We also offer special pricing for current students. Call for details. Multiple-user discounts are also available. You can order from our secure online order form, by email, by fax, or over the phone.

7-day Trial. Go ahead, download a 7-day trial version of GESS today. During the trial period, the spreadsheet is limited to 100 rows of data. You can try all of the statistical procedures, import/export your data, and print your reports. This is an excellent way to become acquainted with GESS at no cost to you.

GESS Spreadsheet
Expression files are organized using the built-in spreadsheet, making it simple to specify and analyze related factors.

Procedure Window
Once you select a procedure from the tree or menus, the corresponding Procedure Window appears. This window lets you quickly and easily specify analysis variables and options. The immediate help window on the right gives you a brief explanation of each option as the mouse passes over it. You can save the settings in a template file for future use.

Output
All reports are displayed using our built-in Word Processor. You can quickly view, edit, save, and print your output. Reports are stored in the generic RTF (rich text) format that can be read by most word processors, so you can easily save GESS reports for further use in Word or WordPerfect. The output document mixes text and graphs together. The text portions of the reports are formatted using tabs (not spaces), so they are easily reformatted.

System Requirements
Runs under Windows Vista, XP, 2000, NT, ME, 98, 95 compatible Pentium-class computers with at least 32 MB of RAM. Requires 200 MB of hard disk space. Requires Adobe Reader® version 7 or later to use the NCSS, PASS, and GESS Help Systems.
Accuracy
We at NCSS have put a great deal of effort into finding the most accurate algorithms possible. The programs have been tested and verified over and over, both by us and by our customers. GESS calculates with seventeen-digit, double-precision accuracy.
Guarantee
If you are not completely satisfied with GESS during the first 30 days for any reason, return the program for a full, prompt refund (excluding shipping)--no questions asked.
