GESS

Two-Channel File Pre-Processing

GESS imports and processes generic two-channel data files. The Two-Channel File Pre-Processing Engine takes a list of TXT files input using the spreadsheet and outputs corresponding pre-processed files for use in downstream statistical analyses. The list of output files is stored right on the spreadsheet with the covariate and group information. The importing engine accepts tab-, comma-, space-, and semicolon-delimited files. Column names or numbers may be used to identify the columns of interest. Columns of interest may be easily selected from a large number of columns in the file. Several choices are available for the summary statistic to be used as the expression measure, including many that include Loess normalization. A wide variety of filters is also available. Reduce the number of genes analyzed by specifying a subset of genes. A complete set of box plots, spatial anomaly plots, and M-A plots along with summary statistics are also output for array quality assessment.

Accuracy
We at NCSS have put a great deal of effort into finding the most accurate algorithms possible. The programs have been tested and verified over and over, both by us and by our customers. Each routine has been verified against textbooks, journal articles, and, where possible, other software. NCSS is one of the most accurate statistical analysis programs available. NCSS calculates with seventeen-digit, double-precision accuracy.

Guarantee
If you are not completely satisfied with an NCSS product during the first 30 days for any reason, return the program for a full, prompt refund (excluding shipping).
