Update Release Notes

This page lists the changes that have been made to NCSS 2025 since it was released.

Version: 25.0.3

Released: July 11, 2025

1. Corrected an error in the following four One Proportion procedures: One Proportion, One Proportion – Non-Inferiority Tests, One Proportion – Superiority by a Margin Tests, One Proportion – Equivalence Tests. The error had occurred when "Type of Data Input" was set to "Tabulate "Successes" from a Categorical Outcome Variable in the Database", with multiple outcome variables, and with the case of one or more of the outcome variables having no successes. Prior to the fix, the results for a column with no successes would mirror those of the previous column, rather than having an X of 0. This was corrected so that all columns with no successes would have the appropriate X of 0.

2. Corrected an error in application-wide percentile calculations when using the "EDF w/ Ave" formula option. In some instances (i.e., when NP is an integer) the result was slightly off.

3. Corrected a display issue with the Procedure Window. In some cases when the Procedure Window was scrolled, changing an option in a dropdown box would cause the window inputs to misalign and appear crammed at the top of the window. This has been corrected.

4. Corrected an error in the Kaplan Meier Curves (Logrank Tests) procedure that prevented the Between-Group Mean Survival Comparisons report from being displayed and causing the calculations to terminate, with the user receiving the following error message: "Object does not support this property or method."

Version: 25.0.2

Released: March 11, 2025

1. Corrected an error in the display of the Find and Replace form when Application Scale is greater than 100%. The find and replace entry boxes were not displayed correctly, running off the edge of the window.

2. Corrected an error that caused Message Boxes to appear behind other windows in some cases, so that they could not be seen.

Version: 25.0.1

1. Initial Release of NCSS 2025

I am a very satisfied user of NCSS. For years I used SPSS in my consulting work, but the cost got to be exorbitant. When I started using NCSS, I found it easy and intuitive to use and extremely accurate in its results. It is not only my statistical analysis program of choice but I have recommended it to many of my clients as well. When I've had questions and called NCSS, I have always gotten expert help and advice and never had a problem go unsolved. Keep up the good work.

Denis Stadther, Denis Stadther Consulting

NCSS is an excellent tool for clinical and epidemiological research that is both user friendly and economical with excellent support. It removes the "fear of statistics" from clinical research and makes research accessible to all curious clinicians.
