Description:
[Tip 1: Changing summary statistics at bottom of spreadsheet]
By default, a group of summary statistics for each column are shown at the bottom of the spreadsheet. These statistics can be changed by clicking the “Statistics and Formatting” button at the bottom right. The statistics displayed are those with a checked checkbox. The order of the statistics can be adjusted using the small arrow buttons on the right.
[Tip 2: Plot Change All]
When data are plotted in groups, it can be easier to change the attributes of all the groups, rather than one group at a time. The “Change All” button provides this option. Various attributes of all groups may be changed jointly, using this tool.
[Tip 3: Quick filters]
The filter system gives a variety of options for filtering rows. But it may be convenient to quickly type a filter statement. Or you may wish to type in one or more values.
[Tip 4: Last button]
When opening NCSS, it is common to want to open the most recent dataset. Rather than finding the folder through the menu, the “Last” button may be used. Also, a list of recently opened NCSS datasets is given under the File menu.
