Description:
[Tip 1: Viewing, saving and printing plots]
For any plot on the output window, you can double-click the plot to open a Plot Viewer. The viewer can be re-sized to better see the plot.
However, the plot attributes cannot be edited in the output. Editing of plots can only be done before, or during, procedure runs.
From the plot viewer, the plot can be printed by pressing the “Print” button.
Or, the Plot can be saved by pressing the “Save As” button. Several image file types are available.
[Tip 2: Opening and closing a procedure or PASS]
When any procedure in PASS is opened for the first time, it will open with its default values. When any procedure is closed or when the procedure is run, the settings and values are saved. Thus, when any procedure is re-opened, it opens with the values and settings that were shown when the procedure was last closed.
[Tip 3: Examples]
Every procedure in PASS has one or more examples. Each example is described in the procedure documentation. For quick access to the example documentation of the procedure, you can click the “Examples” button in the “Help Center”. The first example is usually the example that is detailed the most.
If you wish to run an example, the options may be specified one at a time in the procedure, or they may be opened collectively using an example template. To open the settings collectively, click on “Open Example Template” in the Help Center, and select the desired example. Clicking “OK” loads the template settings. The procedure can then be run to see the results in the PASS output window. The results will be the same as those discussed in the example documentation.
[Tip 4: Validation Tool for Operational Qualification]
The Procedure Validation Tool for Operational Qualification may be used to validate that the software is operating correctly. The tool verifies that one or more, up to all, procedures are functioning correctly by loading the procedures, executing calculations, [pause] and comparing the results to verified and expected outcomes.
Summary and detailed validation reports are created and displayed in the Output Window. If all procedures pass operational qualification, you can be certain that the software is functioning as expected.
Each procedure can also be validated individually by clicking Validate This Procedure in the Help Center or through the Help menu on any Procedure Window.
This tool can be loaded from the Tools menu or the Help menu.
