Description:
There is a wide variety of Quality Control charts that can be produced in NCSS. Some of these are X-bar charts, R charts, Cumulative Sum charts, Moving Average charts, P charts, and Individuals charts. In this video we will examine obtaining an X-bar chart in NCSS.
The data for this example consist of 5 columns of measurement values, with each row representing a sub-group. There are 50 rows in this dataset.
To create an X-bar chart, we first open the X-bar Charts procedure from the menu. For the Data Variables, we select the five columns D1 through D5. We then press the Run button to generate the output.
The center line is estimated to be 67.12. The Primary Control Limits are also given.
The final numeric section shows how Sigma was estimated. The control chart of this example does not indicate any sub-groups to be out of control.
